Paul Edbrooke

Hon. Paul Edbrooke MP
Paul Is the State Member for Frankston and a strong advocate for delivering fair
outcomes for Victorians. His connection to Frankston began in 2001when he was
posted to the Frankston Fire Station as a career firefighter, where he served the
community on the front line for 14 years.
Raised with a strong sense of social justice and community service, Paul’s parents
worked in the Latrobe Valley coal mines, his father, a Corps Sergeant Major in the
Salvation Army. Before joining the fire service, Paul completed degrees in Education
and Arts, majoring in History, Politics and Sociology, and taught in local primary
schools and Special Development Schools.
During his firefighting career, Paul responded to countless local emergencies and
major statewide disasters, including the Black Saturday bushfires at Kinglake and
Marysville. His service has been recognised through formal commendations and
medals.
During his time as the Member for Frankston, Paul has achieved; opening the $1.1
billion Peninsula University Hospital, introducing Vicarious Liability legislation for
historic sexual abuse victim survivors and fiercely advocated legislative change to
ensure a Victorian serial killer remains in prison. He currently serves as the Minister
for Consumer Affairs, Cost of Living, Renters and Men & Boys.
