Latest plans for Young Street redevelopment revealed
Here is the latest plan for the $13 million Young St, Frankston redevelopment which will be turned into reality within months.
This plan has been a work in progress and includes the themes and aspirations that were most popular during the consultation period. Some of those suggestions were fantastic and proved that asking our community is the best way!
Our State Government team and the Frankston City Council team have been working together to ensure the best possible finish.
This is only one facet of what our awesome governance team are working on to redefine Frankston- thanks to Maria Peters, CEO Chisholm Institute, Sue Williams, CEO Peninsula Health, Gabe North, Centre Manager Bayside Shopping Centre Vicinity Centres, Glenn Weir OIC Frankston Police Station, Kevin Hutchings, Managing Director South East Water and Professor Leon. Peterman, Pro Vice Chancellor Monash University.
Things to look out for on the plans include: the scramble crossings, the city park green area and event space, roundabout removal, changes to bus bays and widened footpaths for better flow and trade.
Note that this is the latest version, close to final, but we still have work to do.
