Frankston Station Precinct Redevelopment
Paul is spearheading the upgrade to the Frankston station by establishing the Frankston Station Precinct Taskforce, an assembly of local representatives, who have begun work to make the precinct a place locals can be proud of.
The Frankston Station Precinct Taskforce has commenced work on a fast-tracked master plan for the Frankston Station precinct.
A master plan will incorporate the following:
- a state-of-the-art transport hub including the identifying the best location of the bus interchange that supports commuters and traders
- a permanent police beat
- a new retail and café strip and multi-level car park
- a state-of-the-art hub for local businesses and entrepreneurs, developed in partnership with Chisholm TAFE
The taskforce is chaired by the Member for Frankston, Paul Edbrooke and include members from the Frankston City Council, Chisholm TAFE, Victoria Police, the Frankston Business Network, Public Transport Victoria and the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources.
The State Government’s $50 million commitment is in addition to $13 million already allocated to improve the Frankston Station precinct.
